shimano brakes adjusting
shimano brakes adjusting
best hardtail for under $850?
i race my mtb which is a specialized rockhopper disc but its a 15 inch and im 5'7 so im too big for it. I have $850 to spend and i dont want to spend anymore than that. I was looking at the motobecane http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/fantom_comp08.htm and the cannodale F4 from my lbs but it has shimano hydraulic disc brakes, carbello tires and x7 front and rear derailleurs but i cant find that model on cannondale or my lbs website. idk if im liking the headshock because i cant adjust it from what i saw. im open to other suggestions but would rather it have tora or better fork and hydraulic disc brakes.
The cannondale F4 is no longer available it was a model 2 years ago and is only found as a leftover but I would recommend it if you can get it. It is also typically found with the Rock Shox Dart 3 at a minimum. Personally I would opt for a GT Avalanche 1.0 with the Air Mag 32 from Suntour ( a nice and solid fork for the money). Motobecane frames leave a little to be desired given the drop in price of them from years ago and I have seen too many of these frames that have sloppy paint jobs and questionable welds and such. I would avoid that one personally. As compared to the Mag 32 over a Tora I would take the Mag 1st.
