shimano brake parts
I need help identifying a bike that was giving to me and assiginging value to it.?

It's a black bike and the only thing I know to do is list the labels of all the parts...so here it goes. Across the handlebars it says all of the following: SCOTT LITEFLITE ITM DROPlite 235...(the rest is cut off by tape for the brakes here) The petals say Shimano600. The seat says Transverse. The bar holding the seat says CORIMA. The brakes say Shimano Total Integration. The tires are thing and there's a black flap pointing inward from the tire to the spokes about 2 inches. I'm sorry I don't know what else to describe, I am obviously not a cyclist. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Not sure why you would want to assign value. If you're thinking for tax or insurance purposes, I wouldn't worry about it. Its maybe mid to late '80's vintage, probably nothing special. Its actual worth would be whatever you could get for it at a garage sale. Its not old enough to have collector value, and technology has advanced such that even current low-end road bikes are better performers.

If you just need a number, say $100.
